A prayer for those who need to eat chametz during Pesach.

Dear God,

As I prepare to eat chametz on Pesach

because I need chametz to survive,

please help me find comfort.

May I truly feel what it means to be free,

as I fulfill the imperative of pikuach nefesh (making sure my life takes precedence). 

May I fully live by mitzvot, as the Torah says, “And live by them.” (Vayikra/Leviticus 18:5) 

May I go from narrowness to freedom,

from darkness to light.

May I find hope and peace in nourishing my body

May I be supported.

This year and always.
